| v2026.02.14 | Windows, macOS, Linux | Open Web Configuration Tool |
1. Tool Overview
This browser-based tool is used for basic configuration and rapid integration of UART/RS485 bus servos.
It has been migrated to a local deployment version. The entry page in this repository is:
docs/software/servo/data/web-controller/index.html
2. Preparation Before Use
- Confirm the servo and adapter board are wired correctly and servo power is on.
- Connect the adapter board to the computer via USB cable.
- Use the latest Chrome or Edge browser.
- On first serial connection, allow serial-port permission in the browser popup.
Warning
The web configuration tool depends on browser serial capability (Web Serial API). Mobile browsers usually do not support full functionality.
3. Servo Connection and Detection
- Open the web configuration tool and click connect serial port.
- Select the corresponding serial device in the popup and confirm.
- Click scan servo and wait for the online-device list.
- Select the target servo to view current status and basic parameters.
4. Common Configuration Functions
- Angle control: send target angle and observe servo response.
- Status readback: read current position, runtime status, and more.
- Parameter configuration: read or write basic parameters with immediate effect.
- Multi-device configuration: scan and switch different servo IDs for testing.
5. Common Issues
- Serial port not visible: check driver installation, cable, and USB interface.
- No device found during scan: check servo power, voltage range, and wiring order.
- Connection failure: close other software occupying the serial port and retry.
- Write ineffective: confirm target device ID and parameter range.
